NI-GI monochromator: 6 gratings

Some examples of custom monochromators/spectrographs:

  • NI-GI monochromator for PTB-Berlin: consists in a 6 gratings monochromator working in normal and grazing incidence to cover a very large spectrum (from 5 nm to 400 nm)
  • HEXOS Spectrometers for W7-X: consists in 2 double spectrometers (4 gratings) pointing the same point in a tokamak and covering a spectral range from 2.5 nm to 16 0nm in one shot.

Use of H20UVL for VUV transmission

The VUV Transmission system consists in a Deuterium light source (DLS200) combined with a H20-UVL for sample illumination in the range 115-400 nm. The transmitted signal is acquired by a PMT detector located in the sample chamber. The sample chamber is equipped with an 8 positions sample wheel. The whole system is controlled via HORIBA Scientific software.

Fluorescence instrument based on H20-UVL and iHR320

The VUV Fluorescence system consists in a Deuterium light source (DLS200) combined with a H20-UVL for sample excitation in the range 115-400 nm. The fluorescence analysis is done in the visible range by an iHR spectrometer. The sample chamber is equipped with a 4 positions turret and a viewport to visualize the selected sample. The whole system is controlled via HORIBA Scientific software.
